Carlos Slim? Ver\u00c3\u00b3nica Castro? Maybe you’re familiar with these names, maybe not. But these MexICON Platters from the design studio DFC<\/a> sure steal my heart quicker than any Fornasetti<\/a> piece I’ve seen. Originally DFC founders Tony Moxham and Mauricio Paniagua conceived this series as homage to Fornasetti, and used famous Mexican pop icons in place of Fornasetti’s ubiquitous choice<\/a>. The group includes faces of poet Pita Amor, telecommunications magnate Carlos Slim, eyepatch-wearing \u00e2\u20ac\u212270s soap star Catalina Creeland, architect Luis Barrag\u00c3\u00a1n, and actors Andr\u00c3\u00a9s Garc\u00c3\u00ada and Ver\u00c3\u00b3nica Castro. I’d say any one of them is a safe bet for jazzing up your tabletop.<\/p>\n
