The pieces of the Minotake collection by Japanese furniture designer Koizumi Makoto and Kohchosai Kosuga are quite beautiful, so much so that it’s easy to forget that they’re simply eating and cooking utensils. Utilizing the “natural curvature, lightness and strength of bamboo”, the spoons and spatula are ergonomically friendly, which, sadly, is rare to find in today’s marketplace. While the smaller spoons don’t look exactly suitable for soup, they do look quite perfect for rice or risotto.
