Have you ever walked into a kitchen showroom like Bulthaup or Poggenpohl? If you have, you’re familiar with their customized drawer organizational systems, and you may have even (metaphorically) drooled over the sleek lines of perfect boxes in which to place your utensils, spices, plates, and pans. Dropping $60k to $80k for kitchen cabinets is unfortunately much more than many of us can afford, and, sadly, we say goodbye to such lovely drawer interiors, thinking they are beyond our budgets.

However, we can afford such an organizational dream, as there are many drawer divider systems that look like they match the function and quality of more expensive, customized versions. For example, Hafele’s “Fineline” Kitchenware and Plate Organizer ($160 for 34″ walnut version) and the “Fineline” Cutlery Tray & Spice Drawer Insert ($120 for a 36″ walnut version) look like excellent options. Sure, you may have to purchase only a few at a time, but sorting out the mess and having proper places for everything will make cooking (and cleaning up) much more enjoyable.
