What, you think you know all about the normcore trend last year? Well, I challenge you to a duel. I present the Extō Extension Cord, which is my answer to what normcore looks like in the home furnishings/accessories arena. Can you come up with a better example of an unpretentious-on-purpose-yet-still-sort-of-attractive, functional product? Hmm, we’ll see.

“Hand-built in Washington State, Extōs have dual tamper-resistant, three-prong grounded sockets in an industrial cast-aluminum and stainless steel housing. The outlets face upwards for easy plug/unplug and for accessories such as the lamp conversion kit.”

Now, down to the details. The Extō is a modular power source that has an internal tamper resistant barrier that helps prevent shock. A long cord means you’ll get a power outlet no matter where you wander (in your own home). And, yes, it achieves UL Listing. There’s also mounting holes on the underside in case you’d like to put it on a wall or fix it to the underside of your desk.
