As you get older, do you feel like your taste in furniture becomes more expensive? If so, let’s commiserate together. I’m trying to settle on furnishings for a lake house, and it’s been a continual push and pull between budget constraints and nicer items of quality. Case in point, do I splurge on beds, as they’re the main item in a bedroom, and thus will most likely be there forever? Or do I settle for a pretty good alternative, as I’ll probably be the only one that notices the finer details between the two?
The Frame Hi Bed is a modern, classic choice. The optional upholstered headboard (removable for cleaning) is what makes the whole bed, in my opinion, with its faceted edges and precise fit. Welded corner brackets on the wood frame hide all the hardware, so if you choose to tuck in your bedspread on the sides/feet, there’s nothing but perfection. A finer detail (yet to me, important): almost-drastically inset steel legs prevent stubbed toes and give a floating visual effect.

-Beech wood and rubber slat system provides continuous support for any mattress.

-Upholstered headboard provides firm support through layering of different densities of foam.
