All right, now, we’re in outdoor furniture shopping mode, thanks to the summer heat. If the Hot Mesh Lounge<\/a> featured yesterday didn’t quite hit the spot, maybe you’ll like the Palissade Lounge Chair<\/a> by Ronan + Erwan Bouroullec. Why? It’d be easier to ask why not, because then we could agree on your ignorance or lack of design sense* and then our conversation would be over.

\nThe ‘why’ question requires a lengthier explanation, because then we’d have to discuss the low-slung silhouette paired with the welded-steel slat construction, which makes for a comfortable seating position without extraneous padding or fluffy cushions. The linear nature of the slats keeps the overall vibe simple and sleek while allowing water run off when used out-of-doors (inside, the steel would be an excellent contrast against the rest of your soft furnishings). Plus, you just can’t go wrong with color choice, as there’s only a trio of perfectly understated options (light grey, anthracite, or olive- olive being my favorite, oddly enough).<\/p>\n

So, are you convinced? Are you going to get one Lounge Chair to accent to your seating area or a whole set to outfit your patio\/garden area? There’s quite a few pieces in the collection to tempt the wallet, so, fair warning. <\/p>\n
