Designed in 1965 by Michael Lax, it remains a classic due to it&#8217;s simple design and localized light especially fitted for tableside\/bedside reading. It&#8217;s available now in a limited commemorative edition from Lightolier.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The telescoping neck adjusts from 6.5&#8221; to 15&#8221; and the lamp head swivels 360\u00c2\u00b0. Light intensity can be changed from low to high using a switch located on the base.
