The Paon Bath Collection is designed based on “the influence of a herd of elephants.”
A statement from the designer: “it is quite friendly and spiritual to hold these smoothly curved noses of elephants in porcelain. the low level of vital force could be activated by drinking divine water from the [mug]. any moment in any bathroom becomes more ritual by contacting with them directly.”
The entire herd is made up by the following:
* mug
* toothbrush holder
* soap dish
* containers with lids (3 sizes)
* wall hooks (2 sizes)

I was actually looking for something like this recently because I read before I go to bed and then I’m too tired to turn off the light–you know the story–and when I finally get up to turn the light out, it wakes me up a little then I can’t go to bed.
I think we’ve all seen this before, but I had sort of forgotten about it because maybe it was only a concept piece before? I can’t recall. But in any case, it’s available now.
“Another “instant” classic from Tobias Wong. Melding wit with functionality, this wireless light switch can control any light fixture (or any electrical device) within 100 feet. Attach the remote component to the fixture of your choice and simply “flip the switch”.”
Open edition in Chrome and a Limited Edition of 500 in 14k Gold.
Or, as one of our faithful readers wrote in, you can get one of these as an alternative.

“Let’s face it. We are a society obsessed with appearance. And it seems Choe & Tomlinson have caught us fixing our hair in the reflection of the drugstore window one too many times. So they have taken it upon themselves to make our next glimpse in the mirror a bit more humorous. After all, a goofy smile looks great on everybody.
Jeannie Choe and Steven Tomlinson’s Black Death Wish Mirror combines vanity and mortality in a pop Victorian silhouette.”

Here’s a nice little economical sofa that can be converted to a twin size bed. The conversion isn’t done quickly as the back support needs to be unscrewed, but it is a dual function piece none the less.

“Charles and Ray Eames liked to surround themselves with traditional craft objects from around the world, which they collected on their extensive travels. One of their favourite objects was a bird made of black painted wood that was produced in the Appalachian Mountains at the beginning of the 20th century. The figure accompanied them from the 1950s onwards and can be seen in many photographs of the Eames’ living room. Based on the original artefact and in cooperation with the Eames Family, Vitra is now producing the first series of this figure.”
